Buildings in the new King Square precinct are set to break records as the largest property pre-sale in Western Australia’s history. This $1 billion project will comprise three towers currently identified as KS1, KS2 and KS3. KS1 (tower 1) on the corner of King and Wellington streets, will have 23,156m² of tenancy space across 19 levels. Rondo has been fortunate enough to work on numerous projects with contractors Bravo Ceiling Industries, including this project, where we will be supplying Rondo Steel Stud & Track and Shaftwall Systems.
Rondo worked closely with Bravo Ceiling Industries on this project to provide engineering designs for high pressure areas within the building. A thorough assessment was completed to ascertain which Rondo products would achieve the best outcome. A specific design was engineered by Rondo for the internal stairwell framing. Rondo 92mm Stud and Track was used in the vertical span of the stairwell. The stairwell’s core wall had to be broken up by horizontal structural steel. Rondo products were installed between these sections as well as accommodating a handrail to ensure design was to specification. The Kings Square development is expected to be completed this year.
